A World of Frustration
The other day I was talking to a good friend of mine about women, and about the success some guys in Korea have had. He was a bit frustrated about how things were going for him. Korea can be a really hard place to meet women, depending on how high your standards are and how you’re trying to meet them. Everyone I know here is trying to do just a bit better but it’s not always clear how to improve. It took some thinking but the answer finally came to me. When it comes down to it, there are two key factors that will determine your ability to meet women in Korea, or anywhere else for that matter. That’s right, just two.
Some guys make meeting women too complicated. They talk about detailed routines guys should run on women, counting signals women give to know how to progress the interaction, or even bizarre forms of hypnosis guys should be learning. Other guys just assume that it’s way simpler than it actually is. These are the guys who never actually approach women or, on the other extreme, do really well with women naturally. They’re often saying stuff like, “just be yourself,” or “If you want to bang her then just bang her,” advice that is as frustrating as it is useless.
When it comes down to it, the two key factors that will determine your success with meeting women are very straightforward and actually actionable. They consist of simple things you can do to make the most of your love life right now, today.
Only Two? How So?
But to understand how they work, you have to understand the reasoning behind them. Meeting women really comes down to luck, or “opportunity”, and skill. Luck boils down to being in the right place at the right time and talking to the right girl. The right girl is essentially the one that is receptive to starting a relationship with a guy such as yourself. The right place really comes down to somehow finding yourself in the same subway station as her, waiting for the same train as her, in the same line as her, which allows you to spark a conversation with her.
Of course, she’s not open to starting a relationship with just anybody – women are usually very selective. She wants to start a relationship with a high quality guy, a guy who is valuable and will give her continuing access to the value he provides. Fairly straightforward, right?
The Secret to Lasting Success
So now that the background has been set, lets look at the first key factor. I don’t care who you are – if you want to have any luck with women whatsoever then you have to leave your house. The more you step out of your front door the better. It’s really that simple.
When you leave your house you give yourself the chance to meet a woman who is interested in someone like yourself. Of course, you’re not going to meet a girl like that every single time you try to talk to one, or every time you visit the bar/party/horse track for that matter. You are, however, increasing the chance of bumping into her and that’s enough to spell the difference between success and failure.
This is pretty obvious stuff, but a lot of guys just don’t act on it. They’re content going to work and back every day, or to the supermarket, but little else. They just want to watch TV on week nights and possibly hit a bar on the weekend. If they’re only going out one night of the week with the hope of hitting the ball out of the park then they’re not going to do as well as they could.
So if giving yourself the chance to meet great women is the first key to success, what’s the second?
Skill
This is where the “just be yourself” or “just lay her” crowd completely messes up. If you are a high quality guy who is used to having success with women then being yourself is the obvious choice. But, if you’re one of the legion of guys who want to do much better with women then obviously you have to change what you’re doing.
One of the best ways to learn how to be successful with women is to pick up a book and start to learn about women and how to interact with them successfully. Unfortunately, that’s about as specific as I can get with this very critical key step – you know much better than I do just what level of skill you have and where you need to improve …and there’s too much to cover for an article like this.
